An active village church taking a responsible part in the life of the community with a visitors' team, Monday Club for young people and the difficult task of maintaining a very old building.

Services are held in the church at 10 am on most Sundays.

Carpet Bowls Club

Play in the Norfolk Winter and Summer Leagues and Norfolk K/O Cup matches. Home league matches played on Friday evenings. Also run own Singles and Doubles Championships. Free trial night. Meets every Friday 7.30—10pm at Pulham St Mary Village Hall. Fees £1 per night.

Home Watch

A number of Home Watch schemes have been set up in the parish in the past. Currently there is a need for a coordinator for the whole parish and for local coordinators for some individual roads or groups of houses. Brownies — 1st Pulham Pack

Friendly pack with about 20 girls aged 7 to 10. Offers fun, games and craft activities, as well as progressive training system gaining badges. Have outings to places such as local woods and cinema as well as annual pack holiday. Meet Thursdays 6—7.30pm at Pulham St Mary Village Hall. Fees 75p per week.

Pulham St Mary Horticultural Society

Main event is the Annual Show held in July each year. Other meetings, usually bi- monthly, include speakers on a variety of topics and spring and autumn table shows. An outing is usually organised during the summer months. Meet on Tuesday evenings at Pulham St Mary Village Hall. Fees 75p for schedule which gives free entry to summer show.

Pulham St Mary Over 60s

The parent and toddler group provides opportunity for children to socialize and play together and for parents to meet others who also have small children. Drinks and biscuits provided. Meet every Tuesday at Pulham St Mary Village Hall. Fees £1.20 per session, first session free.

Playgroup

Since September 1999 Pulham St. Mary and Pulham Market Playgroups have merged to form a single 'Pulhams Playgroup'. Two separate venues remain for Playgroup sessions. On Mondays and Thursdays they are held at Pulham St. Mary Village Hall and on Tuesdays and Fridays, at Pulham Market Memorial Hall. On all days they run from 09:30 until 12:00, and BOTH, cover a full curriculum that will be adapted to the needs of each individual child, through observation and record keeping. All sessions,at BOTH venues,are conducted by the same team of trained staff, which ensures continuity and security for all age groups.

We are inspected annually by Social Services and also comply with Ofsted inspections, which allow us to claim Government funding for the term after children reach 4 years old.

We accept children from 2 yearsand 6 months old, and we are a registered charity, with a parent-run committee.

Pulhams' Parish Magazine

A monthly magazine is produced jointly by the parish churches of Pulham St Mary and Pulham Market and covers church and village activities in the two parishes. It includes reports of Parish Council meetings and activities of other organisations. Contributions by 15th of the month are welcomed from village voluntary organisations. Advertising is on an annual basis at reasonable rates. Subscription £2.50 yearly, delivered locally. Contacts:

Pulham Village Orchestra

Amateur orchestra open to all ages and abilities, offering wide experience of music making under directorship of professional conductor. Regular performances locally and workshops held occasionally. Some instruments available for loan (eg double bass, timpani, percussion). Crèche facilities by arrangement. Meets second and fourth Tuesday of the month 2—4pm at Pulham Market Memorial Hall.
