Watton & District Breckland Family Show 2000
The 10th Show £6000 profit brings the total raised for local and Rotary Charities to over £50 000. Not bad for a club of 29 "Geriatric Hooligans" as PDG John King described them! See the photographs of the Show.

David Watkins, Watton and District, spent 3 weeks in Nepal in April 2000, assisting the building of a Pestalozzi Primary School at Shree Jana Ekta in Rautahat District. He will return later in 2000 to see the completion of the project.

Aegean Evening 2 May 2000 - Cambridge
Edward Thackray, President, Rotary Club of Cambridge, hosted a dinner at Chilford Hall, Cambridge, in the presence of HRH Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine of Yugoslavia, to support the work of getting caravans to help the victims of the earthquakes in Greece and Turkey. Rotarian Victor Bugg and Honorary Rotarian Sam Alper were honoured for their caravan project work with the presentation of Paul Harris Fellowships by Princess Katherine.

On 11 Jun 2000 Watton and District Club, in conjunction with the Ladies of Inner Wheel, unveiled and dedicated  the “History of Watton” millennium mural.
1080 District was represented by Rotarian Brian Baxter, Asst Governor East.
