Breckland Family Show
Monday 1st May 2000
RAF Watton, Norfolk

Yes, it's time for the Breckland Family Show again, and yes it is ten years since this great annual event first took place at the RAF Watton site on the Norwich Road.

This year the May Day Bank holiday falls on the 1st May and The Rotary Club of Watton and District, who are the organisers, promise that this show will mark the New Millennium with a great day out for all the family.
We have a brand new line-up of attractions both on the ground and in the air.
The Main Ring will feature a Cavalcade of Transport through the Past Millennium with not only the Cars, Bikes and other transport in pristine condition but with the passengers in dress of the time!

This is in addition to the huge display of Classic cars, bikes, motorcycles, commercial vehicles, steam vehicles and farm machinery which has always had a fascinated crowd enthralled with the amount of work that the owners of these machines put into their pride and joy. Watton and District Rotarians with their Classic Vehicles will be joined by Cambridge Rotarian Rob Ransom in his Austin-Healey.

Of course there will be many attractions besides: the GIANT Car Boot sale, the Funfair, Sideshows, Military  stands, Market stalls, trade stalls, food and drink, Indoor Craft Fair, Drive a HGV, model aircraft and model car racing, and lots, lots more!  Don't forget the Flightline Walk where you can see aircraft from all over the country who fly into the show!

Jet Ranger helicopter and microlight flights are available at very reasonable cost.

Try out the Flight Simulator and experience the thrill of flying a Tornado jet or riding a Motorcycle in a stunt race!

Look out for Woody Bear from Pleasurewood Hills.

The Utterly Butterly Barnstormers!
Our main Aerial attraction this year will make you hold your breath.

These Vintage Boeing Stearman Biplanes carry out death defying aerobatics - with gorgeous Wingwalkers carrying out daredevil stunts on the aircraft at speeds of up to 150mph.

This spectacle has not been seen in Norfolk since the 1930s.
