Mozambique Flood Disaster 2000
In view of the horrendous images which we are seeing of the flooding in Mozambique, contact has been made with the Governor of District 9250, Peter Keen, to offer Aquaboxes to provide clean water and welfare goods.
This offer has been immediately accepted, and arrangements are being made to ship out 330 Standard boxes and 200 Aqua 30s, consigned to Rotary in Maputo for distribution and monitoring.
Aquabox is appealing for funds to meet the cost of the Aqua 30s, as well as reinforcing the need for standard boxes to be filled and returned to the warehouse as soon as possible.
The need is NOW and Aquabox is responding to the call for aid in anticipation of support being given for funding.
If you are able to help, please send your donation to:
The Barrie Griffiths Rotary Trust, The Rotary Club of
Wirksworth,
11 Market Place, Cromford, MATLOCK, Derbyshire, DE4 3RE
The consignment of Aquaboxes will also include Emergency Boxes from District 1050.
Please will you publicise this appeal for financial support to fund the Aqua 30s as well as the early return of filled Standard Aquaboxes and Emergency Boxes.
