Sending photographs

Please take a moment to read this before sending any photographs!

  • You probably have a favourite shot of a Club event or project.

  • Any clear images are welcome, sent on disc or by e-mail to John L Raybould.
The ideal image is 60 to 70 dpi, measuring no more than 760 pixels wide or 404 pixels high.

  • Please ensure the file is a jpg, no larger than 60Kb and do not Zip compress.
A 500Kb file is fine for a large wall poster but by e-mail takes ages for my PC to download!

  • If you are unable to compress the jpg picture files please put them on a floppy disc and post it!

  • Include a short description (including, eg names of people, the date it was taken and the location).

  • Send text in normal case in black within the body of the e-mail, leaving me to do the formatting, colours, font and typeface as it’s a nause having to convert it all!

  • I normally delete anything received as an attachment. When inserted directly into the e-mail, the same text files are not only much smaller but are instantly readable and "site-ready." eg 233 kb reduced to a mere 24 kb. It gets sent by you and received by me in a tenth of the time! They also cannot contain a virus or trojan.

Thanks,
John
